
The 18-year-old’s mutilated body was found in an abandoned house in Mokomene village, Botlokwa, on 08 January 2024. The traditional healer was arrested in connection with the murder and provided crucial information that led police to discover some of the missing body parts, including her head.
Modjadji’s mother, Ntseta Thoka, expressed her relief about the recovery of her daughter’s head but insists on waiting for all missing body parts before laying her to rest. The missing parts include her hands, breasts, and private parts, which were severed during the brutal murder.
The police have made significant progress in the case, thanks to the traditional healer’s cooperation. The community is likely to breathe a sigh of relief knowing that justice is being served.
The case has been postponed to 17 January 2025.
