
A disturbing incident occurred in Mbaula Ka-Mthimkhulu, Giyani, when a mother allegedly found a pill inside snacks purchased from a foreign-owned spaza shop.
Limpopo Current Affairs was reliably informed that a child bought snacks from spaza shop and the mother inspected snacks, discovering a suspicious pill. Community reacted swiftly, concerned for children’s safety.
The community ordered spaza shops to remove and discard snacks and fried chips. The also warned shop owners to halt sales of snacks until food poisoning crisis subsides.
