Limpopo Premier Dr. Phophi Ramathuba reportedly faced mistreatment at an establishment in Phalaborwa on Thursday while attending the Marula Festival.
Limpopo Current Affairs reached out to the Premier’s spokesperson, Thilivhali Muavha, for clarity on the incident. While he chose not to comment on the specifics to protect the establishment’s reputation, he emphasised the importance of businesses treating customers with dignity and respect.
“Businesses should uphold the principle that ‘the customer is always right’ and ensure that every individual is treated with honour,” Muavha stated.
The Marula Festival is a major cultural and tourism event in Limpopo, drawing visitors from across the country. However, incidents like these highlight the need for service providers to maintain professionalism, especially when hosting high-profile guests.
