A 22-year-old male suspect has been apprehended for allegedly raping his 11-year-old step-sister. He is scheduled to appear in the Seshego District Court on Monday, October 14, 2024, to face rape charges.
According to reports, the victim’s mother was summoned to the school after her daughter disclosed the abuse to her teacher. Upon returning home, the mother confronted her daughter, who confirmed the allegations of repeated rape by her stepbrother.
The alleged incident occurred on September 23, 2024, when the suspect allegedly entered the victim’s room, undressed her, and committed the crime. Initially, the suspect denied the allegations when confronted by the mother.
The mother reported the incident to the police on Friday, October 11, 2024. The case was transferred to the Seshego Family Crime Unit for further investigation. The suspect was arrested on Saturday, October 12, 2024.
