Burkina Faso has received 115 brand-new buses as part of an effort to improve urban transport across the country. The move follows a directive by President Ibrahim Traoré to upgrade public transportation.
This initiative is part of a larger plan to nationalize public transit. The goals include making commuting more affordable, improving safety through professionally trained drivers, and creating long-term jobs for citizens.
So far, 200 drivers have been hired, and more job opportunities are expected to open soon.
