Agreement Mkhari 
The South African Police Service is investigating a murder case following the gruesome discovery of a burned body at the Makgatho sports grounds in Eisleben on Thursday, 01 May 2025.
Police were called to the scene and, upon arrival, found the body of an unknown person burned beyond recognition. Due to the extent of the burns, the gender of the victim could not be determined.
While the motive behind the killing is still unclear, police have not ruled out the possibility of a mob-justice related incident.
A murder case has been opened, and police are appealing to anyone with information that could assist in the investigation to contact the Investigating Officer, Sergeant Elvis Pheeha, on 072 310 9827.
