Police have activated a manhunt for a male suspect who allegedly raped a 14 year-old female victim at Moime village

Police reports suggest that on Tuesday, 29 April 2025 at about 18:00, the victim was walking from a friend’s place along the street when she was approached by an unknown male who grabbed and strangled her.
The minor victim fainted and later woke up and found herself naked in the bush, saw an unknown male pulling his trousers and immediately fled the scene on foot.
The victim discovered that she was raped and went home to inform her family who reported the incident to the local police.
A rape case was opened and the police request anyone with information that can assist with the arrest of the suspect to contact the Investigating Officer Sergeant Ronney Mathe on 076 300 0207.
