Controversial water drilling businessman Kokwani Chauke hosted the grand opening of his new venture, Diamond Walk Lifestyles club, last night, but the event failed to draw a crowd.
Despite the hype, the launch was overshadowed by three other popular gigs happening across Gaza nation on the same night. Two major events were hosted by renowned organiser Gagash, who runs Seventeen Lifestyles Resort in Pretoria, Mariveni Bar Lounge, and Greater Gagash Resort. These events pulled large crowds and dominated the entertainment scene.
Meanwhile, Juta River Lodge in Thomo village was packed, with the well-known TTTs holding it down as MCs, further splitting potential attendees.
Sources close to the organisers say the Diamond Walk event was opened prematurely, and the lack of coordination with other players in the entertainment space cost millions in losses.
This flop serves as a wake-up call for event organisers to collaborate and communicate better before planning major events.
