
A tragic incident unfolded in the early hours of Saturday, 19 April 2025, when an unknown assailant opened fire at a tavern in Marble Hall, leaving one man dead and four others injured.
According to police reports, the shooting occurred at around 00:15. The tavern owner, who was standing at the entrance of the premises, was fatally shot as the gunman fired several random shots. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was later certified dead.
Four more patrons were also shot during the incident. They sustained injuries and were taken to hospital for medical treatment. One of the injured victims has since been discharged, while the remaining three are still receiving care.
When Marble Hall Police arrived at the scene, they found several spent cartridges and projectiles scattered around. The suspect is currently unknown, and the motive for the attack remains unclear.
