Agreement Mkhari 
A devastating head-on collision occurred on the R40 road near Klaserie, Hoedspruit, in the Maruleng Municipality, Mopani District, resulting in a tragic loss of life.
The accident involved a minibus taxi and a bakkie, with 13 people sadly losing their lives, including 10 from the minibus taxi and 3 from the bakkie.
The survivors, three in total, were rushed to Tintswalo Hospital for urgent medical treatment. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
The MEC for Transport and Community Safety, Violet Mathye, has expressed her condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims, urging motorists to exercise extreme caution on all major routes.
