Empowering Education: Malatjie’s Donation Initiative Benefits Mushiyani Primary School

Ellis Malatjie, in collaboration with Principal Mgimeti TC, led an initiative to donate school uniform to learners at Mushiyani Primary School.

To achieve this goal, Malatjie sought donations from various sources, including: Community members, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), his workers at Virgin Atlantic Airways at OR Tambo International Airport and Hosi Mushiyani.

The primary objective of this initiative was to alleviate the financial burdens faced by parents in purchasing expensive school uniforms, stationery, and other essential items. Malatjie also aimed to support educators in their efforts to provide quality education.

Key achievements of this initiative include: designing and producing 271 T-shirts for learners from Grade 1 to Grade 7, procuring 105 pairs of shoes, with 8 pairs generously donated by Chief Mushiyani, Hosi Mzimba, providing 54 sanitary towels to Grade 6 and 7 learners.

Malatjie’s efforts demonstrate his commitment to supporting education and alleviating financial pressures on families.
