A desperate plea for help has been made by Anna Nkadimeng, a 64-year-old resident of Praktiseer township in Burgersfort, Limpopo. Her son, Bernard, 39, who has Down syndrome, was severely injured in a car accident 26 years ago and is now in dire need of a sturdy wheelchair to improve his mobility.
The family, who rely on social grants for survival, is struggling to cope with Bernard’s condition. Anna takes care of Bernard, as well as her two daughters, Lebogang, 32, and Rethabile, 30, and her three grandchildren.
Anna is also seeking job opportunities for her daughters, who are graduates. Lebogang holds an N6 Diploma in Human Resource Management, while Rethabile has a diploma in Educare.
The family can be contacted on 076 246 7434 or 071 128 9697. Any assistance, including donations for a new wheelchair, would be greatly appreciated.
