Giyani police have launched a manhunt following the brutal murder of an unknown man at Xikukwani village near the Xinaveni Gold Mine on Tuesday evening, 13 May 2025.
The incident occurred around 18:30, when police officers on duty responded to a report of a murder in the area. Upon arrival at the scene, they discovered the lifeless body of an unknown African male lying face up with multiple injuries to his upper body. The victim was wearing black jeans, a blue long-sleeved T-shirt, and a grey jacket.
Emergency medical personnel certified the man dead on the scene. His body was transported to a local mortuary, where a postmortem will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
