Agreement Mkhari 
Two suspects, Ntsako Mathebula (18) and Tiza Mamatlepa (24), appeared in the Kgapane Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 25 March 2025, in connection with the rape and robbery of TVET College students in Phaphadi Village, Mopani District.
Mathebula faces four counts of rape and house robbery, while Mamatlepa is charged with possession of suspected stolen property. The suspects were arrested on 11 March 2025 after police recovered some stolen items.
The incident occurred on 22 February 2025, when an armed intruder allegedly broke into a student residence, held eight female students at gunpoint, raped four of them, and robbed them of their valuables.
The suspects are set to reappear in court on 1 April 2025 for another bail application.
