Police are investigating a shocking case of house robbery and double murder after an elderly couple was found hanged in their home on Tuesday, 18 March 2025.
Authorities responded to a murder complaint around 20:00 and discovered the lifeless bodies of Maphetola Selaelo Rasodi (80) and Malekutu Alfred Mokhupi (83) in separate rooms. The victims were tied with ropes around their necks, which were fastened to the roof. No visible injuries were found on their bodies.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) declared both deceased at the scene. It is believed that the suspects also stole two cellphones belonging to the victims.
