Ba-Phalaborwa Municipality speaker and Provincial Secretary of ANCYL in Limpopo, Councillor Oliver Nhlamulo Mabunda, along with Lulekani Ward 15 councillor, Councillor Makasela, recently addressed Majeje High School learners as part of a Back-to-School campaign.
Councillor Mabunda emphasized the importance of respecting educators, stating that learners who do so are more likely to excel academically. He also cautioned learners about the consequences of engaging in sexual relationships at a young age, highlighting how it can negatively impact their academic performance and overall well-being.
Additionally, Councillor Mabunda assured learners that the municipality will work closely with the school management to ensure their safety during camps. The goal, he said, is to support learners in achieving academic success.
Councillor Makasela encouraged learners to contribute to the school by making donations, which would help the school management run the institution more efficiently.
He drew a comparison to the financial support parents provided for an initiation school nearby, emphasising that investing in their education is crucial for their future.
