
A horrific incident occurred at Chuene Clinic in Limpopo, where two nurses were ambushed, assaulted, and raped by heavily armed men. The attackers gained entry to the clinic by overpowering and handcuffing three security guards before abducting the nurses, who were on the night shift.
Limpopo Health Minister Dieketsene Mashego expressed her horror and disgust at the incident, stating that it represents a significant setback to efforts ensuring the clinic’s round-the-clock operation. Police have been notified, and psychological support has been arranged for the victims.
