Agreement Mkhari 
A search operation is ongoing at the Hennops River in Centurion for a missing person who allegedly ran into the river on Sunday, December 22, 2024. The City of Tshwane’s Emergency Services Department received an emergency call at 07:15, reporting a possible drowning near the Supersport Park Cricket Stadium.
Firefighting resources, including a fire engine, ladder, and rapid intervention unit, were swiftly dispatched to the scene. Additional resources, such as a swiftwater rescue unit and police divers, were also deployed to assist in the search and rescue efforts.
Despite challenging conditions due to strong currents and rising water levels, the search teams have been working tirelessly to locate the missing person. However, the operation was suspended temporarily due to safety concerns and resumed on Monday, December 23, 2024.
