A 39-year-old man arrested in Khujwana village for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl.

The incident occurred on 2 March 2025, when the victim was walking alone from a friend’s place in Khujwana village. The suspect threatened her with a sharp object, dragged her to a one-roomed house, and locked it. He then raped the victim, who was later released and reported the incident to her family.
The local police immediately launched a manhunt for the suspect, who was known to the victim. On 9 March 2025, the Mopani Tracking Team received information about the suspect’s location and joined forces with the Tzaneen Family Violence, Child Protection, and Sexual Offenses Unit to apprehend him.
The suspect was found walking on the street in Khujwana village and was arrested on the spot for raping a minor.
