Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe – The University of Venda (UNIVEN) and Bulawayo Polytechnic have joined forces to host a groundbreaking international research conference at Victoria Falls. This two-day event, themed “The Role of Higher Education in Promoting Innovation & Entrepreneurship for Industrialisation,” aims to examine how academia can drive local and global industrial growth through innovation and entrepreneurship.
Led by UNIVEN’s Vice-Chancellor and Principal, Prof. Bernard Nthambeleni, and Bulawayo Polytechnic’s Principal, Mrs. Chiedza Masanganise, the conference has attracted scholars, industry leaders, policymakers, and other key stakeholders. This inaugural gathering is expected to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry, fostering knowledge-sharing and sustainable development across the region.
By addressing the role of higher education in economic transformation, the conference seeks to generate practical solutions that will enhance industrialisation efforts, particularly in Africa.
Participants will engage in discussions, research presentations, and networking opportunities aimed at bridging the gap between research and industry needs.
