Three former employees of a leading construction company appeared before the Polokwane Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 3 March 2025, for allegedly defrauding their employer of over R12 million.
The suspects, Given Victor Mathebula (31), Simnikiwe Ndinisa (48), and Demala Ndou (41), were arrested by the Limpopo Provincial Commercial Crime Unit on separate occasions. They are accused of generating fraudulent invoices in July 2023 while working at Hillary Company in Westenburg, diverting R12.5 million for personal use.
The fraud was uncovered and reported to the police, leading to a detailed investigation. Mathebula was arrested in Tzaneen, Ndinisa in Seshego, while Ndou voluntarily surrendered.
The court granted each suspect bail of R50,000, and the case has been postponed to 9 April 2025 for further investigations.
