Agreement Mkhari 
A 14-year-old boy from Malemane village in Diphale, near Burgersfort, Limpopo, was shot and seriously injured by his girlfriend’s father. The incident occurred after the father allegedly found the boy holding his daughter in his arms.
The victim, Prince Phoku, was rushed to Mecklenburg Hospital for urgent medical treatment. Doctors later confirmed that while his condition was serious, he remained stable. He was subsequently transferred to Mankweng Academic Hospital near Polokwane for specialized care.
The suspect, identified as Phori, was arrested and appeared briefly before the Mecklenburg Magistrate’s Court.
