
The South African Police Service (SAPS) is seeking the public’s help in locating a 22-year-old murder suspect, Tebogo Maboa, also known as “Lepai”. He’s been on the run since July 2024, after allegedly strangling a 59-year-old man to death in Sebayeng location.
The victim had received a lump sum of cash after a car accident, which the suspects demanded. When he refused, they attacked and killed him.
Four other suspects, including Tebogo’s mother, Kate Maboa, have been arrested and charged with murder. They appeared in court on 17 January 2025, and were remanded in custody until 28 January 2025.
Tebogo is believed to be hiding in Gauteng province, possibly in Alexandra, Edenvale, or Olivenhoutbos. If you have any information about his whereabouts, please contact Investigating Officer Sergeant Francina Selepe at 0670839692.
