
A horrific house robbery occurred at a farmhouse in Musina on Wednesday, 8 January 2025. A group of armed suspects raided the home, leaving a family of five injured. The victims, including three minor children, were threatened at gunpoint and tortured during the ordeal.
The suspects stole electronic goods and firearms from the property before fleeing the scene in the family’s vehicle. The victims, who sustained serious injuries, managed to seek help from a neighbour, who immediately alerted the police. The police responded swiftly, launching an investigation into the incident.
As part of their investigation, police officers recovered the stolen vehicle near a dumping site in the Musina policing area. Additionally, they found five rifles and a pistol at an RDP house in Campbell, which the suspects had planned to rent. The police are still searching for the suspects and urge anyone with information to come forward.
Limpopo police commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe commended the police’s swift recovery efforts and wished the victims a speedy recovery. The police are continuing their investigation and are working to bring the perpetrators to justice. The incident has left the community in shock, and the police are urging anyone with information to assist in the investigation.
