
Preliminary reports allege that the suspect, a high-ranking community leader, raped his step-daughter and threatened to kill her if she revealed the incident to anyone.
Following the alleged assault on 26 December 2024 the suspect was arrested and appeared in the Tshilwavhusiku Magistrate Court on 27 December 2024.
To protect the victim’s identity, the suspect’s name has not been disclosed. The case has been postponed until 13 January 2025.
