Woman gang raped and left unconscious on the street at Ga-Motupa village, Bolobedu South

Tzaneen have launched a manhunt for three suspects who allegedly gang raped a 32-year-old woman. On Saturday, 02 August 2025, at about 04:00, three counts of rape were opened at Tzaneen police following a rape of a 32-year-old female victim at Motupa village, Bolobedu South.
The incident was reported at Tzaneen police and an intensified a manhunt of the unknown suspects is underway.
It is reported that, a 32-year-old victim residing at Mareroni village was walking home when she met three unknown male suspects.
The suspects suddenly assaulted the victim and repeatedly raped her until she became unconscious.
At about 06:00, the following morning she woke up and found herself being surrounded by unknown citizens and was half naked.
Police request anyone with information that might lead to the arrest of the suspects to contact the Investigating Officer Lieutenant Colonel Mahlane on 082 429 2625.
