
Police in Malamulele have launched a manhunt for a man who allegedly killed his five-month-old biological son at Jimmy Jones village on Tuesday morning, 07 October 2025, at around 07:40.
According to reports, the child’s mother went to the Malamulele Police Station to report a case of domestic violence after she was allegedly assaulted by her boyfriend, who is also the father of the baby. While reporting the incident, she told police that the suspect had also been physically abusing their child.
Fearing for her safety, the woman fled from the house, leaving the baby behind. Police immediately accompanied her back to the residence, where they discovered the lifeless body of the infant lying on the floor. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were called and certified the child dead at the scene.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the baby had sustained visible injuries to the head and face, suggesting that he had been brutally assaulted before his death. The suspect had already fled before police arrived.
