Agreement Mkhari 
A 55-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly hacking a 61-year-old villager to death with a sharp object at Ga-Magongoa Village on Sunday, 05 October 2025.
According to police reports, the victim had earlier gone to Mashashane Police Station to open a case of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm (GBH) after he was attacked by a man known to him while walking home from a local tavern at around 15:00.
The victim, who had sustained multiple injuries, was taken to hospital for medical treatment but later died from his wounds. The case was then changed from assault GBH to murder.
After an intensive investigation, police managed to trace and arrest the suspect on Tuesday, 07 October 2025, at about 18:00. The motive for the attack is not yet known.
The suspect is expected to appear before the Seshego Magistrate’s Court soon on a charge of murder.
